Description
New York Currency"Albany County" Issue Payable In "Continental Currency"
New York. February 17, 1776. Four Shillings. "Albany County" Issue. Very Fine.
An extremely rare issue, rarely located in such a high quality as this example, even if partially repaired. This note has four full excellent margins and red and brown signatures present. Some repairs made along the centerfold area, likely to an old tear and seen mostly on the blank reverse. The text states that payment can be made in either "Spanish Milled Dollars" or "Continental Currency." One of the finer quality examples of this important issue we have encountered. It is simply that rare!
