This December 29, 1785 North Carolina note is extremely rare and specially as being the Original and Genuine as Issued note. It is not the known Counterfeit. This is the only sole example we have ever offered, having coming to us one again from a previous sale back in 1999. Both bold brown signatures and the serial number are vivid, adding the the overall excellent eye appeal. The "Justice" vignette is sharp and clear, this clean note having no visible detractions and an overall very pleasing natural appearance. Extremely Rare. Ex: EAHA Auction August 28, 1999, Lot #364, Graded Choice Extremely Fine, where is sold for $1,667 and today worth considerable more, specially having our original grade from 1999 reconfirmed by PCGS as Extremely Fine-45. To our best knowledge, this note is the single Finest Known Certified, as the PMG population report shows that they have not graded even a single example from this entire North Carolina issue.
