Pennsylvania. Uncut Sheet of Eight Notes. October 25, 1775. Serial Number "4". Uncirculated.
This sheet of eight notes is fully signed and was ready to be cut and issued into circulation. Technically each of the notes are Uncirculated in this sheet format which retains its full Jumbo sheet margin selvage on all four sides. There is a faint ancient vertical fold between the two sides and another that is just above the lower border designs of the 18 pence and 5 shillings notes, so as a sheet it might be called Extremely Fine. There is scattered tone spotting and the printed black text and designs remain quite sharp. This sheet has the unusual configuration which includes both vertical and horizontal design oriented notes. This is not only extremely rare, it represents the only sheet of this type and issue we have offered in several decades. Each note has the bold brown serial number "4".
