Exceptional Ten Dollars Virginia Note of May 4, 1778
Treasury of Virginia. May 4, 1778 Printed Date. Ten Dollars. Thin Paper. Extremely Fine.
This is a very pleasing note that has a bright, clean appearance to the thin laid paper. It is an impressive example that would prove difficult to improve upon in quality. This note has two excellent signatures and a serial number that are bold and sharp, the upper right corner tip is slightly rounded. Scarce. Ex: EAHA Auction, April 22, 2000, Lot 224, where it sold for $750.
