Virginia Currency

Lovely Virginia October 16, 1780 One Hundred Dollars

Treasury of Virginia. October 16, 1780. One Hundred Dollars. Thin Rice Paper. Choice Extremely Fine.
An outstanding, fresh and bold looking note with nice black printing and vivid brown signatures that are surrounded by four margins. A rare issue to find printed a thin rice paper in this high quality. The reverse side is also printed. There is an ink erosion split to the paper within one signature. This note is impressive for the grade. Ex: EAHA Auction, April 20, 2002, Lot 694, where it sold for $290.
