Pattern Coinage
1871 Pattern Five Cents, Struck in Nickel, Judd-1053, PCGS graded Proof-62.
This interesting Pattern design is quite unusual having the central detail used on the 3¢ coinage on the obverse. This coin is medium gray with a frosty appearance with several tone specks scattered about the obverse. The reverse is quite clean and free of detractions.
