February 28, 1946, Typed Letter Signed, "Dwight D Eisenhower" on "War Department The Chief of Staff Washington" letterhead, 9" x 7", Choice Very Fine. One small, toned pinhole at top. Signed in medium gold ink. A cordial letter to Lt. Colonel Wesley Peacock, Jr., Superintendent at Peacock Military Academy in San Antonio, TX, declining an invitation to "visit the Peacock Military Academy, where I once coached football." This is a nice quality letter with just one pinhole at top and aa strip of old plastic tape along the bottom of the blank reverse, otherwise it has no major problems with interesting content.
