Color Image Inscribed and Signed, "John Philip Sousa" in a lighter upper left area of this image of Sousa in his full bandleader uniform, October 1926, no place, 10.25" x 7", Very Fine. This colorful image appears to have been taken from the front of a Sousa songbook. It is mounted to an album page and nicely trimmed just to the edge of the image. The signature is somewhat light and remains clearly legible.
John Philip Sousa composed over 140 military marches. His "Stars and Stripes Forever" remains one of the most loved and readily-recognized pieces played by bands today.
