Bushrod Washington's Correspondence To "Gen.(eral) La fayette"

BUSHROD WASHINGTON, Associate Justice of the Supreme Court and Nephew of George Washington, who Served in the Continental Army, after his Legal Career, Retired at Mount Vernon.
Autograph Note Signed in the Third Person, "Judge Washington," 1 page, 8" x 6.5", dated at "Walnut Farm - June 12, 1802", Very Fine. This note reads in full: "Judge Washington presents his most respectful compliments to Mons. Pichon, and requests the favor of him to forward to Gen. La Fayette the enclosed letter by the first conveyance." There are a few tiny scattered flyspecks and small 1" x 1.5" paper loss, just partially touching two letters, likely from when the sealed letter was opened, has been professionally replaced and archivally tipped to a larger sheet. A remarkable, and historic note of conveyance between George Washington's nephew to his beloved General Lafayette, whom was loved by Washington like his son!
