A wonderful large 12" long cast metal commemorative hatchet made for wall mounting, having the bust of Washington facing left in the blade portion. Along the length of the handle is the legend "Washington Inaugurated President Of The US Apr. 30. 1789." A scarce and popular display piece. Ex: EAHA Auction, February 10, 2001, Lot 306, where it sold for $172.
