This early memorial mezzotint devoted to George Washington, measures 8" x 5.75", that has been matted to an overall size of 14" x 12" (beneath a mat overleaf). This early memorial print of Washington features his bust, facing the left, dressed in full uniform. He is encompassed in an oval border with shadows surrounding the late president. Minor age-toning and a few minor expert repairs do not affect the overall appearance of the print. Still dark and bold, a stunning representation. Hart #800.
