1848, Presidential Campaign Ticket, Zachary Taylor and Millard Fillmore, State of Virginia, Unused, Choice Near Mint.
Printed in black on white, 6.5" x 3.75" paper, this campaign flyer reads: "State of Virginia - The People's Ticket - 7th November 1848 - For President Zachary Taylor - of Louisiana - For Vice-President - Millard Fillmore - of New York." Following this is a list of the electors for the 17 districts of Virginia. This ticket is unused and in near mint condition aside from a light crease and age browning at the top edge. We sold a similar example in our EAHA Auction, October 2006, Lot #309 for $257.
