William Howard Taft Campaign Collection of Nine Items
c. 1908, Lot of 9, William Howard Taft Campaign Buttons and Ribbons, Choice Fine.
This is a nice assortment of nine items that includes six celluloid buttons ranging in size from .875" to 1.25" together with a rather heavy, substantial New York delegate's badge, no doubt from the 1908 convention, with a colorful Taft-Sherman celluloid at middle (solid-filled) suspended from a solid eagle and pin-bar. The group also includes a 2" sepia badge suspended from ribbon and empty name bar as well as a lovely "Welcome" ribbon suspended from a celluloid and brass pin-bar with clasped hands, no doubt from a one-day event Taft attended.
