This is an original tapestry bearing a portrait of William H. Taft at center surrounded by a series of patriotic motifs including flags, stars and an eagle at top. This wonderful textile bears just a small loss to flag at left and a few slight tone areas. An unusual political textile not referenced in Threads of History.
