This is a wonderful and rare celluloid button with lovely colors produced by American Art Works of Coshocton, Ohio. A sweet, little campaign item.
Charles Evans Hughes (1862-1948) is seldom remembered as the Republican candidate for President 1916, but more often recalled for his tenure as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. (He also briefly served as U.S. Secretary of State.)
