Collection of Franklin D. Roosevelt Inaugural Items

(FRANKLIN D. ROOSEVELT).
This collection of Franklin D. Roosevelt inauguration memorabilia belonged to the family of Senator James Hamilton Lewis of Illinois. Items include; an unused ticket for the March 4, 1933 presidential inauguration; two invitations to the January 20, 1937 inauguration, with envelopes; two programs to the 1937 inauguration; two 1937 admissions to the inaugural platform, with envelopes; a program for the January 20, 1941 inauguration; and a menu for the 1941 inaugural dinner, with a separate seating list. Other items include: a program for the February 22, 1942 George Washington Dinner honoring FDR; a printed invitation from President and Mrs. Roosevelt to Senator and Mrs. Lewis for a White House reception; and a ticket for the 1936 ceremony laying the cornerstone of the Department of the Interior Building. Some toning and soiling but overall Fine. Ex: EAHA Auction, December 8, 2001, Lot 154, where it sold for $402. (13 items plus envelopes)
