1942-1960, Collection of Nine White House Gifts and Cards, Choice Very Fine.
This is an interesting collection of material from the White Houses of Franklin D. Roosevelt, Harry Truman and Dwight D. Eisenhower. The group includes a 3.25" x 6.5" black leatherette checkbook cover with "Christmas, 1942 form F.D.R." in gilt lettering at the top right. Also included is a 4.25" x 2.5" red spiral bound 1948 date book and credit card holder with a red paper cover with the gold presidential seal at top center and the greeting "MERRY CHRISTMAS from THE PRESIDENT AND MRS. TRUMAN 1947" Also included are seven 4" x 3.25" "Season's Greetings" cards for the years 1954 through 1960 with one not bearing a date. Each card bears the embossed presidential seal. Some of the cards bear mounting remnants on verso. A nice, useful and unusual collector lot.
