Extremely rare in PL and DMPL. This coin is tied for finest known at both NGC and PCGS. We are pleased to have this coin consigned to us after it having been off the market for many years. This is NOT a freshly dipped or freshly over graded coin. Both sides are clearly fully prooflike. The mirrors are not too deep, but they do show good reflectivity. Overall, the surfaces are clean and have nothing more than few light lines and teeny ticks. There is a light patina of gold forming around the rims. Unusual for a 96O, this coin has a very sharp strike. Also, Miss Liberty's cheek is pretty clean. This is a nice, un-messed with VERY rare coin! PCGS 3, NGC 3-with NONE higher. The last time one was auctioned was back in 2004. It was a PCGS coin which sold back then for $8,050.00. None have been around since. This is a tremendous opportunity for any serious PL Morgan Collector. Worthy of a strong bid. Good luck bidding! Dollar Coin
