Note: The painting retains its original frame with printed artist labels affixed verso. Provenance: Property from a Private Collection, Glendale, CA, acquired directly from the artist circa 1930s; by descent in the family two generations to the present owner, Corona del Mar, CA.

Condition report

Visual: Surface dirt and minor, stable craquelure. A few spots of paint loss scattered throughout. The board was affixed by the artist to thin stretcher bar supports with nails through the face of the painting (and are painted over) along the four edges. The center of the painting is textured with sand. Blacklight: No evidence of restoration under blacklight.
