Late 19th century, with mark ''Eug. Blot'', the rim cast with busts of nude maidens above a waisted body cast with drapery on a ruffled footed base, 11'' H x 6.25'' Dia., est:$800/1200. Note: Eugene Blot worked as an editor and founder of bronze works by artists such as Constantin, Meunier, Hoetger, Jouant, Vander Stratten, and Camille Claudel. He also owned an exhibition gallery at 5 Boulevard de la Madeleine, Paris, where he presented pieces by important Impressionist painters, and the bronzes he produced.
Condition report
Nicely cast. With general marks, scratches rubbing and dirt accumulation commensurate with age and use. Particular rubbing to patina on rim figures. Lacking insert.
