Trompe l'Oeil Xenia, Game Birds: Pigeon.

Molded chromolithograph mounted on velvet with twine embellishment. c1870. 9 1/2 x 9 in. (241 x 229 mm). This print is meticulously cut to the image and applied shadow box fashion to a black velvet background. With the original oval-cut gold filet mat. Actual twine strings these hunting spoils up.
