CONDITION: disturbed gum, beautifully centered with nicely balanced margins, small corner thin at top right GRADE: Very Fine CERTIFICATES: 1970 and 2008 PF (both are sequential with the 2c) COMMENTS: 436 reportedly printed but in reality this is the rarest of all of the Postage Due Special Printings with approximately one example per calendar year appearing at public auction. The example may be without gum, with part gum or with full gum. Examples with part or full gum come around about once every two to four years on average. Accompanied by Stampazine retail card where acquired by the owner. It is surmised that the 2c and 3c were purchased together in a late 1969 or early 1970 auction by Stampazine and then sold by the firm to the collector, meaning they have been unavailable for approximately 35 years.
