METTLACH POTTERY HALF LITER STEIN, 1888, H 9 1/2" OVERALL, DIA 4":Etched stein includes a shield form at the front which is centered by a portrait of a man (print under glaze). The underside is stamped with the maker's mark of a castle and "Mettlach VB Gegen Nachbildun Geschutzi 34 1861 88" on the underside.
Condition report
As is condition. The underside of the lid reveals several large cracks and the interior shows a crack approximately 3" long. RG
