KOECK KOECK, OIL ON CANVAS, 1844, 18 1/2" X 25", HARBOR SCENE:The image depicts a beautiful Dutch harbor scene complete with manned sailboats and a row boat in the fore ground as well as numerous vessels and a distant city playing against the background of a Titianesque sky. Signed and dated "H. Koeck Koeck 1844" in the lower right corner. No frame. Unidentified stamps (one reads, "Revenue Canada (?), 1943") and label on verso.

Needs a cleaning, but the image appears to be in good condition. RG (Appears to blacklight clean; has some craquelure (stabilized); not lined or patched; needs cleaning; original stretchers; no frame. Rf, 4-24-2008)
