measures 11" X 13", small corner piece of albumen missing at top right corner, else fine. Seymour was Governor of New York during the Civil War, and the Democratic candidate for President in 1868 against U.S. Grant. This large format image, c. 1868, has excellent tone a detail. Large format images of 19th Century politicians are scarce and quite desirable. Would look great framed.
