Bold 18 x 24 inch broadside announcing a Republication meeting for presidential candidates James A. Garfield and Chester A. Arthur, to be held at the "armory of Company K, Mansfield (Pennsylvania), on Friday, Aug 17 1880". "Turn out, Citizens, and hear discussed the important topics of the day." Wilbur F. McKelvy is listed as Secretary, and H. I. Gourley, Chairman Meetings and Speakers. The broadside was printed by Jackson & McEwen, 49 Wood Street, Pittsburgh PA. Broadside has some weakness at folds, and some minor loss at folds, else fine for a large 19th Century broadside. Large bold 19th Century campaign broadsides are quite desirable.
