1971 Chevrolet Chevelle

1971 Chevrolet Chevelle Here is a real nice 71 Chevelle that just went thru an "Extreme Makeover". If you looking for a nice Show & Go muscle car you should take a closer look at this one. This was an good running and driving original V8, AC, and tinted glass car when i got it. Unfortunatley it had an amature single stage olive green paint job (his friend did it). I decided to make it a SS Clone. Its pretty much there except for the dash. I stripped the car to bare metal wich was in very good shape overall wuth just some bad repair work around the rear quarter wheel well which was redone. I 2K primed the car, guide coat and blocking additional coats of 2K primer til it was ready for paint. It was sent out to a local Paint Shop I've been dealing with for over 15 years. They painted the car Emerald Green Metalic (Premium Base/Clear coat)and applied the bright white SS Stripes. The paint turned out Super. No stories of how you need to wet sand and buff it out. The trunk was cleaned , prepped, and painted with black spackel trunk paint. New parts installed as i can remember: Cowl Hood, front & rear bumpers, wheel house moldings, rocker moldings, grill, hood molding, door seals, trunk seal, window felts, door handles & gasket, badges, and SS emblems. On the inside the seats were redone, new headliner and sail panels were installed. the door panels were recently new and were reused. The carpet was also almost new. The powertrain starts upfront with a strong running 350, mild cam, new Holley 650, headers, flowmaster duals. Sounds awesome. The tranny was recently rebuilt turbo 350 with a mild shift kit. The 8.25 10 bolt Posi rear was rebuilt with all new internals including 373 gears and new axles.
