Auguste Rodin Watercolor with pencil additions.Female nude.Image is 8 x 15 The works on paper by Rodin come with a sterling provenance. They are directly descended through the family of Jules Mastbaum (American, 1872–1926), a movie theater magnate who gave the city of Philadelphia the Rodin Museum. The collection has descended directly from Mastbaum, through three generations to his great grandson, who is now putting them up for sale. All pieces were vetted for insurance purposes in the 1970s by Christie's in California; several retain labels from the Fine Arts Museum of San Francisco and The Museum of Modern Art where they were on loan for an exhibition
