Marklin - Model 8056/2 - "Kusten-oder Festungs-Geschutze" [Coastal / Fortress Defence Gun] - circa 1910 - 14 [O/A Length 25cm, barrel length 21cm] - modelled on the 6" coastal fortress guns used in Germany's sea & fortress defences, comprising: brass barrelled heavy calibre cannon with a fully operable spring breech loading firing mechanism [marked with the pre 1914 Marklin crest over the breech]. Mounted on a circular Coastal Defence circular pedestal type mount with workable, elevating gear & platform traverse gear. Olive Green platform with black detailing. Some minor paint chips otherwise Excellent overall. A RARE early Marklin Piece.
