A small Ferrari badge consisting of a tortoiseshell four-spoke steering wheel bearing a coloured enamel circular Prancing Horse emblem, mounted on brass with a steel pin clasp and stamped: Scuderia Ferrari. The four-spoke wheel dates this item back to before WWII. It was a personal gift to Jacques Swaters from Enzo Ferrari. 2.5 cm diameter. Very good condition, some tarnishing to brass.
The four-spoke wheel suggests that this item dates back to the pre-war Scuderia period, when the team entered, prepared and ran all racing cars from the Alfa Romeo factory.
