Peter Henry Emerson studied medicine before he devoted himself to photography in 1882. Influenced by the French Impressionists, he propagated naturalistic and documentary photography in his writings and his images. Between 1886 and 1895 he published seven books dedicated to the landscape of East England. - Water stain in upper left corner in the margin, otherwise in very good condition.
