Manuel Álvarez Bravo is one of the founders of modern photography in Mexico. He learned technical aspects of photography from the German photographer Hugo Brehme who had emigrated to Mexico at the turn of the century. Tina Modotti who he met in 1927, greatly influenced his work and introduced him to important photographers of the European and American avant-garde. - Remnants of a previous mount, upper left corner bumped, one small handling mark in the center of top edge, otherwise in very good condition.
