Through the 1960s and 1970s Axel Benzmann photographed many icons of jazz and rock music and worked regularily at the famous "Berliner Jazztage" as well as in Hamburg. He has portrayed such giants as Duke Ellington, Dizzy Gillepsie, Ray Charles, Miles Davis and Mick Jagger. His best work is more than just documentary reportage and captures the mood and expression of these great performances through composition and use of lighting. - One handling crease, some retouching, otherwise in very good condition.
