Prehistoric Anasazi Hohokam Jar. It is a micaeous clay unbroken Hohokam (500 A.D.-1450 A.D.) olla or jar. The olla is quite large and has a very pleasing shape and absolutely no restoration. The pottery was evidently over-fired by the Native American potters and the painted design was burned off. The design can be seen and could be restored if the buyer wishes. The piece measures about 8 inches tall x 7.5 inches wide and was found by the owner in Arizona on private property in 1978. There are a couple of pre-historic rim chips, but this is consistent with age. SHI $35.
