American, mid-to-late 19th Century. Walnut and pine. Galleried top over a fall-front desk compartment over three drawers, resting on a molded base. Appears to retain its original finish and pulls; one drawer has "Petty Officer A[illeg]" written on the side. Lacking one interior drawer, side handles may be later. 42 1/2"h. 34 1/4"w. 19"d., writing surface is 28 3/4"h.
