Long narrow silk on linen sampler signed "Louisa B Rapp. her work. 1837". One set of the alphabet. Some color loss. 3 1/2"w. 17"l. Also 1843 sampler on cotton ground. Eight-point star, church with steeple, birds and alphabet. Colors are blue and tan. 7 1/4"h. 13 3/4"w. And brightly colored wool on canvas sampler signed by "Alice Swarbrick. 1872". Brown and white dog flanked by tubs of flowers, butterfly, alphabets and numbers. Probably English. 11 1/2" x 11 1/2".
