DESCRIPTION: Ned Smith (Pennsylvania, 1919-1985). Watercolor on paper. Sparrow Hawk With Kill. Signed to lower left "Ned Smith". Verso with copies of the June 1973 Pennsylvania Game News cover and table of contents that featured this painting as well as a list of names with note "Presented to Cliff Jones on Nov. 14th, 1991 on his retirement as President of the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business & Industry. Mrs. Ned Smith found the painting.". Exhibited at the Ned Smith Center for Nature and Art's 2005 Summer Exhibit. In double mat and frame. PROVENANCE: Collection of Clifford L. Jones (1928-2008). Jones served in four governors’ cabinets and was a Chairman of the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission as well as President of the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry. MEASUREMENTS: 12-3/4" x 9-3/4". Overall 23" x 19". CONDITION: No defects noted.
