[Together with 2 other works illustrated by Chekhonin:] Apelsinnye korki [Orange Peel]. Berlin: S. Efron, [1923]. Poems for children by Mariya Moravskaya. 56 pp., 8vo (233 x 175 mm). Cloth-backed decorated boards designed by S. V. Chekhonin. Condition: boards soiled and corners bumped. This children's book was originally published in 1912 and several poems with Chekhonin's pictures were reprinted in Maxim Gorky and Kornei Chukovsky's juvenile annual Elka [Christmas Tree] (1918), the first important children's book issued under the Bolsheviks.
