this unique olive painted IIIg in 100% original condition was made as model for the German Army (Bundeswehr). They decided instead to continue developing the M camera series (M3 & M1 & M4). The camera is in like new condition, has no military engravings or labels. The asterisk indicates a duplicate serial number of the black painted body IIIg no.988022 with 3 crowns for the Swedish Military which is offered in the following lot. The camera is illustrated in Lager vol. I, p.75 & 98 (Serial no. 988022*, 1960, condition: A-)
