Diaghilev's Ballet Russes - `Thamar' a Lezghin's frock coat designed by Leon Bakst, first performed 1912, of cream felted wool with puce sleeves, green satin lined hanging sleeves, Purchased: Sotheby's lot 117, March 1973

Condition

Fair condition, white felt is somewhat grey in appearance in need of cleaning, numerous small spotted stains, pink and green chemisette three rust marks, the pink satin inner sleeves are very darned and repaired, large cotton insert to right underarm to make bigger and repair stained area, the front of the skirt has three holes and rubbing where hooks have been drawn across when fastening, pink satin collar is faded, green satin inner hem is faded
