  • ARTIST'S BIO -
    Joseph Vance's primary field of interest is the big game animals of the world. He has conducted six major study expeditions to Africa and Asia since 1970 for first-hand field experience and research. Countries include: Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia, SouthAfrica, South-West Africa, Ceylon andIndia .

    Mr. Vance is presently serving as anofficer and member of the Executive Boardof the Society of Animal Artists. His workwas first publicly exhibit in 1967 in the WestEnd Community Council show in New YorkCity, where he took 2nd place in theGraphic Arts division. Media used byVance varies from acrylic on board, topencil and bronze sculpture.
