ORNATE BRASS COMPOTE WITH CHERUBS. Interior of bowl has a central medallion with classical greek figures including saytres and cherubs. Underside of bowl has embossed wheat and leaves, while the outter rim is embossed with hunting dogs and dead game. A central column features three cherubs riding dolphins; one with a horn, one with grapes, and one with a fish. Bottom platform has shell embellished edges and figural turtle feet. 13.5" h, 12" d.
