Career 373 game winner Grover Cleveland 'Pete' Alexander pitched for 20 seasons, divided between the Philadelphia Phillies, Chicago Cubs and St Louis Cardinals. He posted three consecutive 30 win seasons for the Phillies, but is probably most famous for his closing role in the 1926 World Series for the Cards against the New York Yankees. Featured in this lot are six different trading cards, three graded and three ungraded. The highlight would certainly be the 1922 Eastern Exhibit Supply exhibit card, which SGC has graded in Excellent (EX) condition. Other cards in this lot: 1921 W461-1 Exhibits card, SGC 20 (Fair); 1940 Play Ball #119, PSA 4 (VG-EX); 1922 V100 Willards Chocolate Canadian candy card, PR-FR (cut corner); 1927 W461-7 Exhibit card, FR-GD (rounded corners); and part of a 1951 Connie Mack's All-Time All-Star Team cut-out card, which probably only could be deemed authentic due to its missing part (the player part of the card is still intact). A nice tidy grouping of 'Alexander the Great' cards, great for the historical Phillies, Cubs or Cardinals fan.
