1933-36 DIAMOND STARS, GOUDEYS W/ RUTH X3

Pre-war 'shoe box' collection of baseball cards, including three Babe Ruth cards! Though this is a tidy collection of only 55 cards, it seems to have hit the right notes in terms of player selection. First the Goudeys: from the 1933 series, 12 cards, ranging from Poor to VG, with a #53 Ruth in Good condition with a light stain in the right border; 2 cards (PR-FR) from 1934; the 1935 '4-in-1' Goudeys, 20 cards total, ranging from Poor to EX in condition, loaded with Hall-of-Famers including two Ruths, one Poor the other VG-EX. Besides Goudeys, collection has about 20 Diamond Stars from 1935-36; many of these cards from this portion of the collection appear much fresher and less handled than the Goudeys. However, 14 of the cards have some sort of oil (?) stain on them; the most notable of these cards, the #1 Lefty Grove, has the aforementioned staining. As far as HOF players are concerned it's hard to go wrong with this nice grouping from the 1930s.
