HALL-OF-FAME PLAQUE CARDS PARTIAL SET

Near complete set of Hall-of-Fame Gold Plaque cards, with 129 total signatures and only four duplications. Some highlights from this outstanding lot: Ray Schalk's card signed in pencil with a salutation and a date at the bottom (2-24-66); Zack Wheat has signed his card on the back (the only back signature in the lot) with a very elegant autograph for a man at least in his seventies (elected in '59, died in '72); Mickey Mantle has signed his card in his typical bold signature at the top of his card. Other important HOF signers include: Dizzy Dean, Joe DiMaggio, Bucky Harris, Satchel Paige, George Sisler, Casey Stengel, Ted Williams, Ford Frick, Sam Rice, Hank Greenberg, Jesse Haines, Harry Hooper, Cal Ripken Jr, and Red Ruffing. The four duplicates are: Bill Dickey, Dennis Eckersley, Lou Brock and Red Schoendienst. Of the possible signers (over half were deceased at the time of their selection to the Hall), there are only 18 missing autographs. All cards in excellent condition, with all autographed cards in plastic sheets. Accompanied by two deluxe leather boxes. Newest signers from class of 2007 (Gwynn and Ripken).
