The great Hall-of-Fame second baseman Nelson 'Nellie' Fox has hand-signed this coaching contract with the second Washington Senators franchise. This contract was signed November 14th, 1967, by Fox and then G.M. George Selkirk, at the location of Fox's home in Pennsylvania. This would be Fox's final baseball job as he coached for the Senators, and later Texas Rangers, until 1972, three years prior to his death. Fox has signed as 'J. Nelson Fox' in black ball-point pen on the dotted line. A fascinating document, certainly of interest to fans of the late HOFer. (James Spence LOA)
