The 'Boys of Summer' Brooklyn Dodgers won five pennants between 1941 and 1953, and lost every one to the cross-town Yankees! This team was manned by several future Hall-of-Famers including manager Walter Alston, Duke Snider, 'Pee Wee' Reese, coach Billy Herman, Dick Williams, Roy Campanella and of course the great Jackie Robinson. This black bat commemorates the 1953 pennant winners; it carries facsimile gold signatures and block-letter names of all players and personnel of this Dodger team. The bat itself is a 35, 34 oz. Louisville Slugger in very good condition with the exception of a couple nicks and some scratches at the barrel end of the bat. This team would in two years finally go on to win their first World Series. An outstanding commemorative item, perfect for the old school Brooklyn Dodgers fan.
