The era of polyester pullover uniforms, the designated hitter rule, and mustaches galore, the decade of the 1970s produced some outstanding baseball. This is the decade that saw the revival of the game after years of attendance declines. Many stars and Hall-of-Famers played in this decade, and many have hand-signed baseballs in this lot. HOFers include: Nolan Ryan (ONL White), Jim Palmer (OAL Brown), (ONL Coleman), Brooks Robinson (OAL Brown), Frank Robinson (OAL Brown), Carlton Fisk (OAL Budig), Rod Carew (OAL Budig), Reggie Jackson (x2, both OAL Budig) and the two newest HOFers, Goose Gossage (ONL Coleman) and manager Dick Williams (OML Selig). Other '70s stars in this lot: Ron Guidry, Fred Lynn, Tommy John, Bert Blyleven, Bernie Carbo, Dennis Leonard, Sparky Lyle, Vida Blue, Ron LeFlore, Frank Howard, Boog Powell, Bucky Dent (x2), manager Don Zimmer, Sal Bando and more.
