Thirty-three (33) baseball stars of the Negro Leagues have each hand-signed an 8"x10" photograph (or artistically rendered photograph) of themselves. Four Hall-of-Famers highlight this lot, including the only one of this grouping to make it to the 'Major' League, Monte Irvin; the other three HOFers with signed photos are Ray Dandridge, James 'Cool Papa' Bell, and Buck Leonard. The other Negro League stars with signed photos: Lester Lockett, Ted 'Double Duty' Radcliffe, Hank Presswood, Charles Johnson, Ernest Burke, Gene Benson, Lyman Bostock Sr, Gene Smith, Willie Pope, Jose Pereira, Art 'Superman' Pennington, Tommy 'Toots' Sampson, Frazier 'Sloe' Robinson, Andy Porter, Armando Vazquez, Wilmer Fields, James Cohen, Bill 'Ready' Cash, Cecil Kaiser, Pee Wee Jenkins, Clinton 'Butch' McCord, Red Moore, Mahlon Duckett, Leroy 'Toots' Ferrell, Josh Johnson, Wilmer Harris, Harold Gould, Stanley Glenn, and Larry Kimbrough. Nearly all of these photo prints are black & white, some are very blurry, perhaps the only known contemporary photo of the player. Photos signed in blue or black sharpie, and all housed in heavy plastic sheets for protection.
