Ol' Pete" as he was affectionately known, Grover Cleveland Alexander is the third winningest pitcher (tied) of all time, with 373 major league wins; he pitched for the Philadelphia Phillies, Chicago Cubs, and at the end of his stellar career, with the St Louis Cardinals. He is best remembered in St Louis for his surprise and successful relief appearance in the seventh game of the 1926 World Series against the New York Yankees, securing the Cards their first ever World Championship. His image is preserved in this unusual and awesome display: a 'ghost glass' window panel, removed from the outside wall of the Stadium Club at the old Busch Stadium. The 'ghost glass' term is used because if you look at it sideways, Ol' Pete appears 'alive'. This Glass Panel measures 7'5" to 7'8" in height, 40" in width, and 2" in depth. The frame for this 'window' is stainless steel. Due to this item's fragility and weight (over 400 pounds) bidders must provide their own shipping (e.g. truck, moving van). This incredible piece of St Louis memorabilia could be sitting in your recreation room. Bid now!
